"Casa Dare to Dream was halfway completed when we purchased it. We looked at the architectural plans and immediately began to modify it. Two bedrooms did not have access to the deck, so we knocked down the bedrooms' knee walls and added a 6 ft terrace. We extended the main exterior roof 12 feet further for a more expansive outdoor living space. We also designed a 30 ft. salt mineral infinity pool to flow into a swim up bar/kitchen. By tiling the exterior terrace and adding the custom wrought iron, we created a Spanish style atmosphere for our luxury villa."

“Our family has always enjoyed watching HGTV and both House Hunters and House Hunters: International has been our favorite shows to watch on the network. When we first were looking for a home with our real estate agent in Costa Rica, while staying at a resort, Tim mentioned lets "pretend” we are on HGTV’s House Hunters: International and look at some homes.
Of course, to my husband, it wasn’t pretend and, shortly after we purchased Casa Dare to Dream a year later, he contacted HGTV for an opportunity for us to be on House Hunters: International. We soon submitted a promo video with Tim and I (and our son Jason) and then were interviewed by the show’s casting producers. Eventually, we got the call that “our” idea was pitched to the show’s executive producers and that we were selected to appear on the show. You can imagine, my husband’s elation when he found out he was going be on TV.
We first filmed in Maryland for our episode’s backstory, which took a complete day (roughly 12 hours), but it was fun and exciting to see “first hand” how a show such as House Hunters: International gets down. Several weeks later, we’re all off to Costa Rica for our filming down there, which consisted of 5 days (each 10 hours a day) for just a 23-minute show. Being a TV reality star is tougher than its looks. However, we did have immense fun with our film crew and experience this very “unique” opportunity.
We are anticipating the release date of the show to the world, for, when it does air, it will be seen by 4 million people worldwide! Even the people at HGTV are excited about our episode as our producer wrote us saying “We are very excited! The Executive Producer came into my office yesterday just to tell Tori (one of our directors) and I how amazing the episode looked and that it is one of his favorites. He’s seen over 1000 so that’s incredible!!!”
